dorsaVi scores in international football market

dorsaVi has expanded into the South American football market and signed a Barclay’s Premier League club in the UK with the adoption of ViPerform by São Paulo Football Club and Sunderland AFC.

São Paulo, Brazil’s most successful football team, has incorporated ViPerform into its training regime as a way of screening players and evaluating their readiness for return to play through knee, hamstring and running assessments.

São Paulo physiotherapist Ricardo Sasaki said he is thrilled at the opportunity to use a product which assesses player movement in real time, out on the football field.

“Human movement and anatomy is an international language and we are excited to integrate ViPerform into São Paulo’s training regime as a way of screening players and assessing their readiness for return to play through objective data and biofeedback,” Mr Sasaki said.

“Football has defined a nation in Brazil and the adoption of ViPerform by São Paulo is extremely gratifying and further supports the significant demand for dorsaVi’s products as the new benchmark for injury prevention and recovery,” added Andrew Ronchi, dorsaVi CEO.

In the United Kingdom, Sunderland AFC, has chosen to implement ViPerform at the club for use with the first team players. ViPerform is used to screen players, manage injury and evaluate readiness for return to play through hamstring, knee, lower back and running assessments.

Mr Ronchi said the adoption of ViPerform by São Paulo and Sunderland AFC is hugely exciting as it not only opens up commercial opportunities in the South American football market, but it further solidifies the growing awareness of ViPerform in Europe.

Outside of soccer, ViPerform is also used by various AFL and NRL clubs, Olympic athletes, the Australian and Victorian Institutes of Sport, the Queensland Academy of Sport and Cricket Australia.
