ViSafe has been acknowledged by the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2016 this week.
dorsaVi’s ViSafe solution was utilised by Bard Pharmaceutical as an objective risk assessment tool for manual handling between 2015-2016. The outputs of these projects have led to recognition by the Manufacturers Organisation for progress in improving the health and safety culture of the workplace by introducing new initiatives.
Bard Pharmaceutical Ltd, who are the Production and Supply chain business for Napp Pharmaceutical Group, have been working closely with dorsaVi since 2015. As an organisation, Bard Pharmaceuticals prioritise investment in technologies, systems and training which support the on-going reduction or elimination of health and safety hazards to its workforce.
The recent projects carried out with dorsaVi’s medical-grade wearable technology ViSafe, have led to greater insights into the risk profile of job roles within various sectors of Bard Pharmaceuticals’ manufacturing site.
Nick Bridge, Head of Health & Safety at Bard Pharmaceuticals comments that “utilising ViSafe technology, and the novel approach to risk assessment has captured people’s imagination in what is a typically dry topic area. As such there has been fantastic buy-in from both the internal project team and the business as a whole, ultimately challenging the ‘this is how we have always done it’ mind-set”.
