The growing number of elite sporting organisations to adopt ViPerform includes the current championship teams from Australia’s largest football codes.

Reigning 2013 NRL champions the Sydney Roosters and AFL 2013 premiership club Hawthorn are now using dorsaVi’s wireless sensor movement monitoring system as an athlete monitoring tool. This follows the Company signing its first NRL club, The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, in January.

ViPerform is used to track players’ biomechanical movement during skill-based drills, running and weight bearing gym work and also for monitoring during injury recovery.

dorsaVi CEO Andrew Ronchi said elite sport organisations were increasingly recognising the potential of ViPerform to reduce the risk of training-related injury, and injury-related downtime, for their athletes.

“We believe ViPerform can have a substantial impact on how medical teams and conditioning coaches monitor players at risk of injury and assist injured players return to the field more efficiently and safely,” Mr Ronchi said.

Others users of ViPerform include AFL clubs Richmond, Western Bulldogs, Essendon, Fremantle and Brisbane Lions.

The technology is also used by two English Premier League clubs, the Australian and Victorian Institutes of Sport, the Queensland Academy of Sport and Cricket Australia.
